Dive Team Requirements

 

6 & under: 2 dives from any group (may duplicate the same dive)

            example: 2 front dives

 

8 & under: 2 dives from any group (must be 2 different dives using the

proper approach)

        example: Front dive & back dive

 

10 & under: 3 dives from any 2 groups

        example: Front dive, front flip, & back dive

 

12 & under: 3 dives from 3 groups

        example: inward dive, back dive & front dive ½ twist

 

14 & under: 4 dives from 3 groups

        example: inward dive, back dive, front dive & front flip

 

16 & under: 4 dives from 4 groups

        example: front dive, back dive, inward dive & front dive ½ twist

 

Open: 5 dives from 4 groups

        example: front dive, front flip, back dive, inward dive & front dive ½ twist

 

The 5 different groups:

Front, Back, Inward, Reverse & Twist

 

Scoring in diving is based on degree of difficulty (DD). 

Divers doing dives with higher DD will ultimately score better.

 

Those participating on the dive team should be able to do the proper approach and their age group requirements. (exception 6 & under)

 

A beginner dive class will be offered from 11-11:30 M-F for those divers not yet meeting these requirements.
